Many of you who tune in regularly know that I wasn’t able to take my big road trip last year because I got laid off just two weeks before I was supposed to leave. Oh well, I still got plenty of rides in through the end of the year.
With some creative planning and a VERY understanding family, I was able to put together a three-part road trip extravaganza that will take almost three months. Tune in this Summer and watch the adventure unfold. Week by week.
Today is the first day of the first event. I’m driving from Durango, where I live, down to Carlsbad, New Mexico where I’ll ride the La Cueva trails. Located southwest of town, these trails traverse the oil fields and cover some pretty rocky ground. It’s a beautiful desert landscape and I am looking forward to putting the e-bike to the test on as many miles of it as I can muster!
