The Bentonville Bike Fest was off to a great start! We were all enjoying the days of riding the trails and the nights of great music and celebrations.
There were so many people primed to party! Saturday night was winding down and I stumbled back to the rental house, located just a couple of blocks from downtown Bentonville. I was getting some much needed rest when I woke up to strong winds and tornado sirens.
Local news stations are calling this an “EF-3” tornado with winds approaching 100 miles per hour. That’s pretty crazy if you stop and think about it. The rain and wind came in like a freight train and we huddled at the center of the house to wait for it to pass.
I’m not gonna lie – it was scary. The lightning was constant and there was a HUGE crash that turned out to be a large tree landing on our rental house.
