We have been in the new house for about three weeks. It was a tough move, and our lives are still upside down, but we are all in and the entertainment space is ready to go!
Prior to that, I focused on the bike shop build out. This took a lot of space planning and I think it turned out well. The shop area is a dedicated space for building and maintaining bikes, and I have been cutting my teeth on my own rides to get the shop tools placed correctly on the wall and to get the whole thing set up properly.
This place is gonna rock!
The crazy Durango Spring weather has done everything in its power to keep me from moving forward on the build-out, and it has also kept me off the bike.
Oh, and I also somehow managed to catch a major bout of bronchitis and a head cold. I can barely talk, and I have had a sore throat for the last ten days. So I’m currently spending my time resting and planning for the rest of the build-out.
“I’m well into week 2 of this illness. It’s annoying and inconvenient, but I’m hoping I’ll be well enough to ride this week. I know I haven’t been posting much lately, and this is one of the many reasons why. But I have some big stuff coming up in the next 2 months and I will be documenting as much of it as I can. So stay tuned!”
But that was all placed on a shelf for one day while I decided to ignore my sore throat and participate in the Durango Bike Parade. This unofficial event is part of the Iron Horse Classic weekend, which falls on Memorial Day weekend every year. I’ll go into detail on the Iron Horse in another video. Today, I’ll be riding my bike down to Ska Brewing to meet my pal John. We will ride back up the river to Steamworks downtown where we can enjoy the afterparty and a few pints.
This isn;t a big video, but I hope you enjoy it. I know I did!
Thanks for riding with me, and I’ll see you when I see you!
