Riding in Durango is tricky during the Winter months. Snow, ice, and lots of wet, sticky mud. There are two options if you want to get outside during these months:
- Go for a hike
- Buy a fatbike
I chose the latter.
I took my new Trek Farley 7 on its inaugural run in Horse Gulch just south of downtown Durango. This is part of the Telegraph Trail System, and it’s a lot of fun. I have yet to explore very much of it, but what I have seen so far is a lot of great dirt.
