A long ride down 7 miles of singletrack at Missionary Ridge near Durango, Colorado. This trail starts out smooth and shady, but ends with a loose, rocky downhill that becomes more challenging as the rider descends.
Overall, it was a great day and a great ride. The descent was jarring, but it was still lots of fun! This ride fell in the unintentional 4 weeks of 10,000ft elevation rides I did over four consecutive weekends. It was hard work and a huge climb (almost 4000 vertical feet!) but it was worth the effort! The views and the experience were unparalleled.
